  • What’s the most romantic thing your spouse has ever done for you?

He arranged for childcare for our two children, made reservations at an elegant restaurant in Manitou Springs (the next town over), and took me out to dinner, just the two of us, where we could talk without interruption and not worry about getting home to put the kids to bed.

  •  What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for your spouse?

I greeted him wearing my nightgown and robe from our honeymoon when he came home from work one night, then served him his favorite meal for dinner, and allowed him to select the movie we watched, then endured watching it because he had spent a rough three weeks laboring on a project at work.

  •  Where is the most romantic place you and your spouse have ever been?

YellowstoneNational Park or Steamboat Springs…it’s a toss-up.

  •  Do you and your spouse have a favorite romantic restaurant?

Right now, I’d have to say it’s the Craftwood Inn in Manitou Springs.

  •  Do you and your spouse have a favorite song?

Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland (though without the odd music video depiction of that song)

  •  What’s the most romantic present your spouse ever bought for you?

A gold chain and a charm hanging from it of a mother and child with a clock in the center. He gave it to me on Mother’s Day right after our daughter (first child) was born.

  •  What’s the most romantic present you ever bought your spouse?

A print-out of our online chat conversations and emails from when we were “dating” long-distance, and a link to a private blog I’d kept for years while waiting for the right man to enter my life. It was posts of conversations with my future husband.

  • Do you and your spouse have a favorite romantic vacation destination?

Right now, it’s have to be Steamboat Springs or Vail, but that might change in 2 years when we go to Disney World, or next year when we go to Branson.

  • What simple gesture does your spouse do that melts you every time?

When he comes home from work, he almost always walks straight to me, in spite of the kids clamoring for his attention, and gives me a quick shoulder massage, asking me about my day.

  •  How soon after meeting your spouse did you know he was the one?

It probably took 2 years for me, but I’d only seen him twice in those 2 years, and we’d been chatting for 7 months prior.

  • How soon after meeting you did your spouse know you were the one?

He says it took him 3 years, as the long-distance aspect made him a bit gun-shy about it even being possible.

  •  Who is most romantic, you or your spouse?

I’d have to say him, although I dream of the romance and write the romance novels. The reality is so much different, though.

  •  What is the most caring thing your spouse has ever done for you?

He installed a wide-spray shower head with a detachable part of the head when I was pregnant with our first child, so I could easily massage all aching body parts with the pulsating sprayer. It was my Valentine’s Day gift from him just 6 weeks before our daughter was born.

  •  What is the most caring thing you’ve ever done for your spouse?

I support him in his gaming hobby so he can have 1-2 nights every week where he goes out with the guys and does table-top gaming matches. I also read everything he writes to help encourage him into getting over his doubts about whether he’s a good author.

  •  Who said, “I love you” first, you or your spouse?

I believe it was simultaneous as we said goodbye at the airport the first time.

  •  Where did you and your spouse go for your honeymoon?

We used my family’s timeshare in Massanutten, Virginia.

About the book – Antique Dreams: Lillian’s brother has one last request. On a cold April night as the Titanic sinks to the ocean floor, Conrad Bradenton asks his new business partner, Aaron Stone, to fulfill a final wish: that Aaron return a well-worn book to his family and take care of his sister. Aaron seeks out Conrad’s family, never imagining the depth of his commitment until he meets lovely Lillian Bradenton. Hit hard by the despair in her eyes, Aaron encourages Lillian to restore her hope by bringing a boarded-up bookstore back to life. Lillian is uncertain whether she can trust this stranger, the last link to her beloved brother. But she has faith in her brother’s ability to read people. If Conrad saw something in Aaron, maybe she will in time. Then Aaron is summoned to London, and Lillian wonders if it is too late to turn hesitant friendship into undying love.

  • Oh my Amber, you live in a beautiful place. You never mentioned Jackson Hole, WY. Are you one of the ones who go to Yellowstone and don’t also go to Jackson. I lived there for 6 years and I loved it. The Teton Mountains and Lakes are beautiful. And, looking at all of the beauty in thet Park and so many animals to see. Elk, Bison, Deer, Bears, etc. I still miss the Tetons. I loved that it was still a western town in everything downtown. . I hear that they now let some of the big stores like Wal-mart in, which wasn’t allowed before. If you have another chance you should go. I would love to win this book of yours. • Thank you all for dropping by and reading as well as leaving comments. I wish you all the best in the drawing for the winner, and I look forward to sending an autographed copy of my book out.

Maxie, since you asked a question, I need to tell you we’ve never made it to Jackson Hole because of weather and road closures, but it’s on our list the next time we get up to Yellowstone. We plan to go a little later in the spring or early summer to avoid all the snow and ice, but we’re definitely fixing to get up there. 🙂

  • I have a winner! Britney Adams won the drawing. I appreciate Tiffany being here and everyone else for stopping by.
