The Christmas Wish by Susan ReinhardtSusan Reinhardt coverRomance – David Style

Returning to Bible School as an older adult required some major adjustments. Getting into the swing of attending classes and taking tests stretched me to the limit.

During this period, my husband and I were engaged. He’d come up to the school on weekends and rent a room in the Men’s Dorm. David became a fixture around the campus, and one student coined the phrase, “David’s here. It must be Friday.” After a stressful week, I couldn’t wait to see him.

At the end of one semester, studying for one final exam almost sent me over the edge. I couldn’t seem to get anything to stick in my brain. After a particularly rough study session, I phoned him and poured out my desperation.

Early the next morning, he called me. A few minutes later, he instructed me to look outside my dorm room window. “Honey, look at the full moon. I’m seeing the same one as you.” That was all well and good, but it wasn’t helping me with my exams.

Then something amazing happened. I looked down, and there he was outside my window. He’d driven six hours in the middle of the night on a weekday to help me study. We met in the cafeteria, and worked together for a couple of hours before my test.

I passed my exam with flying colors and fell in love with my guy all over again.

Jim Kenneman, Director of National Security, masterminded the plan to break up a hate group ravaging the Christian community. Now, his enemies are out to eliminate him. Should he make a run for it or stick by his tried-and-true negotiating skills?

Monty Addison, a topnotch operative, carried out his assignment in Bird-in-Hand. A plot to destroy his boss sends him on a mission. Without agency sanction, it may cost him everything – his career, his family, and maybe his life.

Dr. Abby Weaver strives to save infants and toddlers in Holmes County, Ohio. When she meets two strangers, she can’t get the tall, handsome one out of her mind. Will their paths intersect again or will dangerous times keep them apart?

Question: What was the most difficult studying task you’ve ever had in a specific subject, test, or course?

What a sweet and caring gesture that David made! You were blessed.

When I was in college studying for my BS degree, I minored in history. I had some great professors and always tried to get into their classes, when possible. My favorite professor, Dr. Brown, only gave essay tests. Prior to the test date, he would give us 5 topics. On the day of the test, he would tell us which 2 of the 5 to write about. I can’t remember exactly how long the essay needed to be, or if there was a length, but I do remember writing several pages. It was taxing to study for such tests.

  • Hi Maxie –

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway. It’s for all three of my books (ebook format).

Hi KayM – Yes, I was blessed. 🙂 Wow! Those tests sound difficult – no multiple choice there.

    God bless,
    Susan 🙂
