  • Are you open to your own romance?

Lilly: Definitely not. Trusting men is very hard for me and really my life is easier to manage alone. I don’t want to worry about someone letting me down.

  • What’s the number one quality you’d require in a mate?

Lilly: I would have to trust them above all else that he would be there for me no matter what.

  •  What’s the number two quality you’d require in a mate?

Lilly: He’d have to feel comfortable around a strong, opinionated woman.

  •  Where is the best place you can think of to find a mate?

Lilly: I know of the best place not to—the emergency room—that’s for sure. I once had a patient who’d signed in because he was having thoughts of killing his wife and then asked me for my phone number. Can you imagine? I guess if I had to pick, I’d say the shooting range. I’d know he was comfortable around weapons.

  •  Where do you dream of getting married?

Lilly: I’m not comfortable in a church. The local courthouse would be okay.

  •  What would be the best gift a potential mate could buy for you?

Lilly: It wouldn’t be something bought. It would be something recovered. My mother kept a journal and since her death, I’ve always wanted it. Problem is, my father has it and we’re not on speaking terms. Maybe someday…

Believing it’s the only way to recover her reputation and secure peace for herself, Lilly sets out to find–and punish–her assailant. Sporting a mysterious tattoo and unusually colored eyes, the rapist should be easy to identify. He even leaves what police would consider solid evidence. But when Lilly believes she has found him, DNA testing clears him as a suspect. How can she prove he is guilty, if science says he is not?
