This is well as remember it from a very old recipe, but one of my favorite uses for leftover turkey:

2 packages of crescent roll packages 1 cup cooked cubed turkey
1 tbl. Melted butter 1/3 c. any chex cereal, crushed
2 tbl. Chopped nuts salt, pepper, thyme to taste
1 tbl. Melted butter

Mix butter, nuts, and cereal together until mixed. Add spices to taste. Set aside a small portion for use later.

Add turkey to the larger portion.

Separate the rolls into 2 triangles per square (a total of 4.) Divide the mixture equally among the squares. Pull the ends together on top and seal.

Sprinkle with nut/cereal mixture. Pour butter over the bundles. Bake at 425 for 20 min.

(Hint: Go by crescent roll directions for temperature and time!)

Today I’m giving away An Advent Journey through Matthew so we’ll discuss what I would like in a potential mate.

  • Are you open to own romance?

If the Lord brings along someone comfortable with my physical limitations who loves me—sure, why not?!

  • Where is the best place you can think of to find a mate?

I don’t know, anywhere I’ve met nice men, I discover they’re married—even here at the nursing home. (I had my heart broken a couple of years ago.) There is no lack of takers on Facebook, who insist they love me and want to marry me from our very first contact. Is it any wonder I never accept friend requests from men?
I figure if the Lord wants me to find love again, He’ll make it happen. Maybe a nice widower. . .

  • What type of character traits are you attracted to?

Faith, first and foremost. Anything beyond that is secondary. A good conversationalist, a reader, intelligent, humor.

  • What would be a reason to end a potential romance for you?

Finding out he’s married? I’m not kidding. That was the heartbreak two years ago. Someone who doesn’t accept your limits.

  • Where do you dream of having your honeymoon?

Hmm. If I could be whole of body, I’d settle for Hawaii or Paris.
