Taylor Planetarium (part of the Museum of the Rockies) in Bozeman, Montana is the perfect place to me for a special romantic event like a wedding or anniversary celebration. I love planetariums. I could sit and watch the light shows, star and solar system display, and learn about the universe all day long. In A Healing Heart, the Museum of the Rockies holds a Museum Ball every year for a fundraiser. But there’s a special nod to the Taylor Planetarium because the facility was being remodeled. The planetarium is part of the museum and free with museum entry fees. I can’t wait to go myself! It’s newly reopened to the public on March 2, 2013.

One romantic idea for a couple’s wedding would be to hold a ceremony inside a planetarium with it lit up like the night sky. This year the Taylor Planetarium is focusing on the Aurora Borealis because it’s a banner year (2013) for solar flares that cause spectacular effects. Can you imagine how that might look during a wedding ceremony? Picture stars twinkling around the bride and groom while the Northern Lights gracefully billow. I see the wedding colors matching the light greens and pinks of the sky and small sparkly crystals all over the bride’s gown and flower displays. Then as the groom kisses his bride, a massive solar flare erupts scattering intense displays around the auditorium. Sigh worthy.

Oh boy, I think I just started the scene for another book here!

About the book – A Healing Heart: What would you do if the one man who can help is the one man you can’t trust? A heart attack has stopped Mara Keegan in her tracks, leaving her daughter’s unfinished photo memory quilt hanging by a thread. Little does Mara know, this quilt—and the memories it bolsters—are the key to her rehabilitation. But Mara’s heart needs to be healed in more ways than one. And Joel Ryan is fraying her last nerve. With her daughter’s graduation fast approaching, even Mara starts to wonder if she—and her faith—can mend in time. Will Joel’s photo find a place on the quilt… and in Mara’s heart?

More Praise for A Healing Heart

 “As beautifully woven as a keepsake quilt, A Healing Heart wraps itself around you, offering a cozy, heart-tugging story. A lovely masterpiece, with as many embellishments as Mara’s memory quilt. This is definitely my kind of tale, one that pulls you in from the first page and keeps your emotions engaged throughout. Highly recommended.

    I think about any place in the Rockies would be a great place to have a wedding, but then I love that part of the country. This sounds like a great read and something I would enjoy. I think we can all relate to needing to move beyond our past and embracing the present and future with an open heart and mind.   • Hi Lori, Rose, and Katie;
    So nice to “meet” you all here. I’m just thrilled you’re all interested in A Healing Heart. And I so agree that just about anywhere in the Rockies is romantic. I’ve been kissed on a mountain top (by hubby) and snuggled on horseback as he took me to a picnic. We’ve watched deer frolic and horses graze. We’ve walked in streams and run from a sudden storm inside to a fire. Some of the most fun is creating unusual sledding hills like in A Healing Heart or hiking with a dog to a hidden lake. It’s all about lifestyle up here.
    I love Montana 🙂

    I always wanted to get married in a small chapel. My husband prevailed, and we had a large church wedding. It doesn’t really matter does it? It’s the commitment to the marriage.

    Enjoy these “Quilts of Love” books. Great idea.
